Kenosha Christmas Bird Count - Wednesday, December 21, 2017

The Christmas Bird Count (CBC), in its 118th year nationwide, has become a valuable method to monitor the winter range and numbers of bird populations throughout the decades.  More information at www.christmasbirdcount.org.

Join by foot and by vehicle for part of or the whole day as we count all birds we find in various habitats in eastern Kenosha County. Effort will be made to pair new field observers with more experienced birders within designated count areas.  Home feeder watchers located within the count circles are also welcome to participate (please email/call ahead for instructions).

To sign up or for more information, contact Valerie Mann at naturalist@pringlenc.org or 262.857.8008 prior to the count date.

In December, you have the opportunity to pre-register online at National Audubon Society's website at christmasbirdcount.org.  After following the login instructions, you will have the option to signup for a CBC.  Be sure to use the count code "WIKC" for Kenosha.
